Learner Promotion Guidelines
This page helps school administrators promote learners from one grade level to the next.
Step 1: Start with the Final Grade
Always begin promotions from the highest (final or completing) grade.
Once a grade has been fully promoted, it will be marked as Completed. You can then proceed to promote the next lower grade.
Step 2: Check Promotion Rules
Each learner must meet the promotion rule set by the system before they can move to the next level. (from your dashboard part before the signature pad, you are able to see the setting of promotion grades)
You’ll see a summary showing how many learners qualify for promotion and how many will be retained.
Step 3: Review the Lists
After each promotion:

Review the Promoted and Retained lists.

Generate the promotion lists to confirm that all learners have been correctly moved.
Step 4: Handle Transfers
If any learners have transferred to another school, you can safely delete them from the system after confirming their transfer details.
This helps keep your school records clean and accurate.
Step 5: Stream Adjustments
The system may automatically shuffle learners across streams after promotion.
Once the process is complete, print the promoted list and use it to reorganize or reshuffle learners into new streams if necessary.
